FAQs
I specialise in supporting discerning individuals who are:
Exploring a Plant-Based Lifestyle Whether you're plant-curious or beginning your transition, I offer strategic guidance to help you integrate more whole, plant-based foods with ease and confidence through personalised plans that prioritise nourishment, simplicity, and sustainability.
Already Living Plant-Based If you’re committed to a fully plant-based lifestyle but seeking to elevate your nutritional foundation, I provide evidence-led, precision-focused support to help you optimise your wellbeing, performance, and long-term vitality.
While my focus is plant-based nutrition, I take a personalised, inclusive approach, accommodating specific needs, preferences, and potential sensitivities (such as gluten-free or low FODMAP) to deliver a holistic, client-centred experience rooted in clarity and results.
My focus is always on a food-first approach, emphasising a well-rounded, nutrient-dense diet.
However, when following a plant-based diet, certain nutrients can be more challenging to obtain exclusively from food, and in these cases, supplements are essential to support optimal health.
The number of sessions varies depending on your individual goals and health needs. Typically, clients start with an initial consultation followed by 2 to 4 follow up sessions spaced over several weeks or months.
For those transitioning to a plant-based diet or optimising their vegan nutrition:
New to Plant-Based Eating: You may need more frequent sessions initially to support the transition, address challenges, and ensure balanced nutrition.
Established Plant-Based Eaters: If you’re already on a plant-based diet but need adjustments or specific health support, fewer follow-up sessions may be sufficient.
Together, we’ll create a personalised plan and adapt the number of sessions based on your progress and evolving needs.
I can work with your medical conditions and medications where appropriate. However, if your condition requires more focused care, I may refer you to another healthcare professional to ensure the best approach for your health.
My aim is to provide nutritional support that complements your overall treatment plan.
Based on a thorough assessment of your individual needs, including:
Your health goals (e.g. weight loss, muscle gain, transitioning to a plant-based diet)
Your medical history and any current medications or health conditions (with referrals as needed)
Your current diet and lifestyle, including any food allergies or intolerances
Your activity levels, if you’re an athlete or have specific energy requirements
I use this information to create a personalised nutrition plan that ensures you're getting the right balance of macronutrients (protein, carbs, fats) and micronutrients (vitamins, minerals).
The goal is to design a sustainable plan that works with your lifestyle and supports your long-term health and well-being.
If you have food allergies or intolerances, I will create a personalised nutrition plan that avoids trigger foods. We'll discuss your specific needs, and I’ll provide safe alternatives to ensure you’re still getting a balanced, nutritious diet.
Your safety is my priority, and I will adjust your plan as needed.
To make the most of your first session, you will need to complete a health assessment and a 7-day food diary that will be provided to you during the booking process.
These documents are crucial as they inform my recommendations. If any answers are incomplete or inaccurate, it could affect the effectiveness of the nutrition plan I provide. The more precise you are, the better tailored the plan will be to your needs and goals.
If you have any test results from the last three months, I will ask you to submit them along with your health assessment.
However, you won’t need to go out of your way to get them specifically for the consultation. I may write a letter to the GP with my recommendations after our 1st session if necessary.
Please note that not all tests are easily available via the GP and if that’s the case, I will be recommending targeted private tests if I think you might benefit from them.
